2022年1月17日 · The eDP cable for T14 Gen 1 has 40 pins on the end that connects to the system board vs 50 pins on the eDP cable for T480 WQHD panel. To avoid having to do any dremeling, I will also get the T480 lid that was specifically made for WQHD panels (FRU 01YU645) and I’m hoping that the UHD panel will fit just fine in the lid without any modification.

2023年6月30日 · This is the answer I was looking for !! I was between t480 i7 vs t14 gen 2 intel. I have a restricted budget and main purpose will backend coding and devops stuff over Linux. I love t480 upgradability, but I was wondering if t14 processing power jump will be noticeable enough to justify the cost and the upgradability limitations.

2022年6月2日 · If you use Linux- probably… They’re worth the $300 or so you can grab a well specced one. But unless you get the nicer screens even the fhd pne on t440p is brighter. Most t480 I see have the sp k1 I’m a fan of the older ones and making a project. The gpu is gonna be weak but really any thinkpad is unless going for something like p5X

2021年11月14日 · I got my T480 in late 2019, it was brand new. Initially it was an i5-8350u, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD machine with a crappy 1080p touchscreen, darfon keyboard and only the fingerprint reader as a bonus. Over the last year I upgraded my machine bit by bit.
