The only difference between USB 3 Gen 1 and Gen 2 is the speed (5 Gbps vs. 10 Gbps). Gen 2 doesn't support additional device types. Display output via USB-C requires¹ DisplayPort alternate mode or Thunderbolt support (or the uncommon HDMI alternate mode), none of which are available on the Flex 5.

2022年9月7日 · So, I've gotten myself a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 with Windows 11. And it worked fine until I installed the System Updates Windows and Lenovo Vantage were asking me to do. Now when I fold the screen into tent or tablet mode it doesn't rotate. Neither so that you can use it in tent mode nor into portrait mode when held sideways.

2022年1月10日 · Also a Lenovo Flex 5 user recently experiencing the same problem. Here's what I tried: Go to Lenovo Vantage, battery, and disable "flip to boot" If you do this, then this works if you select "shut down", and then close the lid. The laptop stays off after you close the lid.

2021年8月1日 · Lenovo did a poor job with this laptop. The hot air is exhausted straight up, out of the hinge gap where the screen and laptop body meet *facepalm*. Don't close the lid with the laptop still powered on, make sure you Shut Down before closing the lid.
