Of SEPTA’s 13 Regional Rail lines, the shortest trip is the Cynwyd Line, with 22 minutes from beginning to Suburban Station, according to timetables on SEPTA’s website. The longest trip is on the Wilmington/Newark Line, with a ride of an hour and 27 minutes to Suburban Station from the outermost stop.

It's that time of the year again, as slippery rail reeks havoc on SEPTA and other rail transit agencies. So, here's SEPTA's wash train coming into and sitting at Fox Chase Station last week, on their inaugural trip of the season. Photos hand held using available light.

Although SEPTA trains no longer roll in and out of Reading Terminal, the Silverliner IV cars continue to soldier on with little change except the paint schemes. Here's a view of a train which just came off the Media/Elwyn line at Jefferson Station (formerly the Market East Station which replaced the Reading Terminal in 1984).
