2006年8月4日 · Yes, it is fairly common for black cats to be part Siamese, and Siamese are very vocal. That is the connection IMO between black cats and noisiness... Siamese cats (seal-point) are genetically black cats, and when they are bred to a black cat all the offspring are black.

2009年8月13日 · Both of my cats do not meow normally. One is a black cat and one is a tabby brown. I talked to my friend and he said he actually had to teach his cats to meow (1 black 1 calico). So we decided not to teach them to meow normally, and just let them express themselves as they like. So my black squeaks and my tabby "talks".

2013年6月11日 · I did the wet paper towel test and the black flecks stay black, even if I scratch them apart with my fingernail. Now flea dirt is supposed to turn reddish in water from the cats blood right? I've also noticed when grooming that area that occasionally white hairs will come out that have the same black specks where I would expect the root to be.

In essence, a different gene causes the hair to have fewer pigments, creating a diluted version of the original color. Solid blue cats are, in fact, the dilute version of black cats. Cream tabbies are the dilute version of red tabbies.
