White Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge located at Greene Township in Greene County, Pennsylvania. It is a 66.5-foot-long (20.3 m), Queenpost truss bridge with a gable roof, constructed in 1919.

2015年6月17日 · Overlooking White Covered Bridge in Greene County, PA. Of the seven covered bridges I visited in Greene County, my favorite was White Covered Bridge. Why this was, I’m not entirely sure, but I did find both the bridge and the rural setting to be quite beautiful. The bridge is 70 feet long, making it the longest covered bridge in Greene County.

White Covered Bridge has vertical tongue-and-groove siding, a gable roof covered with sheet metal and abutments of cut stone and mortar. It is the longest covered bridge in Greene County at 77 feet and 6 inches, and has an exceptionally high queenpost structure with a clearance of 17 feet and 6 inches.

The Covered Bridge Festival is the unofficial kick-off to the Fall festival season! Arts & crafts, home-style food, historical exhibits, unique entertainment & more – all amid beautiful scenery! Each covered bridge has a charm of its own that brings people back year after year.

2024年9月4日 · The White Covered Bridge, which was constructed in 1919, is located on Roberts Run Road in Waynesburg, and the celebration will be held on the State Game Lands adjacent to the bridge; and the Carmichaels Covered Bridge, which was constructed in 1889, is located near the Greene Academy of Art on North Market Street in Carmichaels.

2016年3月17日 · White Bridge dates back to 1919 and is the longest bridge in Greene County, and one of the tallest in existence, with a height over over 17 feet. It was built utilizing the Queenpost Style. Greene County's covered bridges are impeccably maintained and fun to check out on a relaxing drive.

Our county joins with Washington County in an annual covered bridge festival, held annually on the third weekend in September.
