Well, Shadow Freddy is purple with white pupils in FNAF 2, just like the Purple Guy, immediately drawing a connection between the two. This connection is further inforced in FNAF 3 where Shadow Freddy helps William by luring the animatronics to the Safe room similar to how William lured the MCI kids.

If CC isn’t Shadow Freddy then I suppose the employees theory could work even though the Shadows behave VERY differently in FNAF3, and if Shadow Bonnie was a representation of an employee then he should’ve taken on Spring Bonnie or Unwithered Bonnie’s silhouette rather than Toy Bonnie’s.
