Kieran (born 9:31 Dragon) is the son of Morrigan. He is possibly carrying the soul of the slain Old God Urthemiel. Kieran only exists if either Morrigan performs her ritual or had been in a romantic relationship with the Warden in Dragon Age: Origins.

The Warden, later known as the Hero of Ferelden, is the player-controlled protagonist of Dragon Age: Origins. This character will start with one of six origin stories the player can choose from when creating the character.

If The Veilguard takes place in 9:54 Dragon (10 years after Trespasser), then the Hero of Ferelden has approximately 7 years before their Calling begins. Not to mention, the Hero was searching for an end to the Calling at the time of Inquisition. It's possible they found it by now.

I keep reading people saying that the Hero of Ferelden and citing their age as a reason they shouldn’t appear. Saying that the taint will take its toll soon and it’s not plausible for the Hero to still be in fighting shape or able to contribute.
