The closest you could get with GameMaker would be to acquire a screenshot of the desktop first. But obviously that wouldn't be interactive. Gamemaker uses a specific call from the windows API to get a window, and that call creates a standard opaque window.

2024年4月7日 · I was browsing the official kinitopet discord and ended up finding a chat dedicated to a real kinitopet desktop assistant! From what I've seen, it's not completely ready yet, but it can be installed I installed it and it's just perfect! It has some bugs, but it's the best project I found on the internet I'll leave the github link for you guys!

This is adorable and cute, and forever living on my desktop now. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my pc's config or not, but I did notice it would fill in the transparent background with a black rectangle even though it was set to transparency.

2024年1月13日 · For now I've kept to just fixing bugs and haven't made any large changes recently. I've been a little preoccupied with some other projects so I'll try to get back to these desktop pets whenever I get a chance since these pets have been one of the most interesting things that I've worked on.
