I'm in a very similar situation. I've been having very annoying and constant crashes as well. I recently upgraded from an rx 580 to a 5700xt and all of a sudden I can barely get through a game without getting booted out and being prompted with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (Note: I literally only have this problem in Apex Legends).

Then go to the "Manage 3D settings" and open the "program settings" tab. Then select Apex Legends as a program to customize (search for the .exe if it is not in the list) and choose Nvidia processor as prefered graphics processor. Then in the settings choose "CUDA - GPUs" and choose "use these GPUs" and choose your graphics card.

Yeah it's your monitor, this appears to be a common issue with Samsung monitors and Apex Legends specifically.
