YES! I have bought four phones now from Swappa, and in two cases, they were "under-described" to the point that I think they were essentially new, but changed hands once in a retail store but sold as "Good." Out of the four, one is still in use today as a daily driver, and it is from Feb. 2017. The others were subjected to normal decommissioning.

2018年3月1日 · I have bought a couple of phones off swappa and have had good luck. One was an S6 for my dad, and he has no problems with the phone what so ever. The other was an ATT s6 active and it worked no problem, till i swapped my mom over to T-mobile and gave her my old Iphone 6s. Everything went smoothly for myself and was quick shipping as well.

2018年8月20日 · I have noticed that. I remember the days I used to go on Swappa and search for phones from average users, some XDA folks, and others who had used the phones prior to selling them. I had good experiences and bad, but they were generally positive. Now, I'm a little overwhelmed by the professional sellers on their and their nickle and diming.

2020年9月29日 · Buying phones from carriers especially on monthly payments is such a bad investment. Tips for buying - Try to buy from either resellers/companies or regular sellers who are detail-oriented. By that I mean they will provide you any additional information/pictures you ask about the device those people will also generally have good past reviews.

I buy and sell a couple of phones a year on Swappa. I've had two problems over the years. One was when I sold my daughter's iPhone and she didn't tell me the mic had problems. When the buyer told me, I felt bad and immediately accepted the return.

2017年1月6日 · just want to warn you guys that swappa is a horrible place to sell your used iphones. I sold my 6 plus in october and the buyer has just NOW come asking for a refund because the phone is non functional, with proof being a work order from apple from yesterday asking for $329 dollars to replace the device...

Also on Swappa you can look at seller reputation as there is a lot of refurbishers that run stores on Swappa similar to eBay but eBay has a lot more fake reviewers both on scam companies fake 5.0 reviews, and legit companies may have fake 1.0 reviews by competitors.

2022年6月15日 · Yeah, I'll second this. Selling on eBay/Swappa/whatever is taking a decent risk. I haven't had any issues with Swappa buyers (I've sold 3 phones there) but I have had issues with eBay buyers falsely claiming that the item was broken or not as described. In my experience, eBay/PayPal/etc nearly always side with the buyer.

2012年7月20日 · Swappa staff does seem responsive and they are overseeing most transactions it seems - if you look at the comments, there's always a staff member asking to post a photo with the seller code for the item etc. anyway, i'd recommend buying from Swappa and if you don't want to gamble, pay a little extra to get it from one of its well rated sellers.
