Thrives in full sun in cool coastal areas; shelter from harsh afternoon sun and reflected heat in hot summer areas. Drought tolerant once established, but looks best with periodic water in extreme heat. The mother plant declines after flowering; younger rosettes will perpetuate the plant.

This is a hardy agave variety that can handle both high heat and low temperatures. Even so, you can tell from the picture there is leaf burn on the tips of this plant. These plants are larger than Weber Azul or Lemeno and consequently, should be spaced further apart down the row, perhaps 6-7 feet, resulting in ~ 650 plants/ac on 11-foot centers.
