ADMIN MOD • Battlefield 1942 (A Cross-Platform Alternative To 1943) Trying to get a large room full of BF1943 players. I've been looking for a close substitute tp 1943, in terms of the classic look and simplicity of the controls etc.

Battlefield 1943 is still very active on both PS3 and Xbox. Xbox is significantly more populated due to backwards compatibility, however, a decent sized group of people still frequent 1943 on PS3 daily.

The absolute chaos in the start of each map in 1943 is what I remember the most for the game. The mad dash to the landing boats and hoping to not get gunned down by enemy planes or scrambling to the AA gun to defend the landing boats or running to the planes to go attack the enemy carrier lol.

Battlefield 5 has Pacific maps with Iwo Jima being pretty close to what it was in BF1943 but more complex controls and fast gunplay. Beat bet, imo, is BF1942 in the portal playing Battle of the Bulge and downloading COD3 and mix it up.
