A woman accused of killing her rideshare driver by repeatedly running him over with his car was heading to a medical appointment, court records said.

The longtime lawman started at the department in 1992 and was previously a patrol officer, a criminal investigator and served in special operations.

The Monterey County Board of Supervisors declared a state of emergency following the massive blaze that has residents and officials concerned.
