A cold snap this weekend will likely cause the bright green reptiles to enter a frozen state, making them fall out of trees and other vegetation where they live.
A cold weather advisory has been issued for all of Indian River County and Okeechobee County, inland St. Lucie County, inland Martin County, and inland Palm Beach County from 2 a.m. to 8am Saturday.
Expect temperatures to get warmer during the days through the weekend, but overnight lows will still be freezing for most of North and Central Florida.
