This is due to security checks , similar to airport, bags scanned etc.... the exhibition initially sets the tone as to the timeline of events leading to the holocaust, then switches to personal testament, fragments of letters. But having said that, if they can read well and you explain what happened and why you are taking them in, it will be an educational exercise which will stimulate conversation. The objective of the museum is to remind the world that this must never happen again. Basically the appreciation of the exhibit will depend on the maturity of the child.
