It’s something of a spectacle sitting at the foot of Battambang’s Phnom Sampeou, the sun sinking into the horizon as a stream of millions of bats …

I really enjoyed visiting the Bat Caves in Battambang. If you are visiting it should be at the top of your bucket list. Most people go out there to see the bats in the evening. Hiking up the hill is … happycamperaus1的完整评论

You can visit this place by tuk-tuk or taxi, and there’s no entry fee. It’s best to arrive before sunset to witness a fascinating sight: thousands of bats emerging from the cave. As the sun sets, the… owaiskhan_bangash的完整评论

What address do we enter to drive to these caves via bike? And also what is the name of this bar people have mentioned where you can watch on the roof?? Thanks! :)

You'll find it on Google maps. It's easy to get there via motorbike or tricycle. At the top of the hill there's plenty to see, but the best viewing for the bats is at the bottom. You can't miss the line of resturants all geared up with tables and chairs each evening to watch it. It's an amazing experience!

No entry fee, although you’ll want to sit down in one of the many bars that occupy the street as there’s no exact time the bats will appear and it can take about 45 minutes for them all to leave. So the cost of a drink is about all you’ll have to pay to see the bats from a comfortable place. The mountain the bat cave is located on does also have a killing cave and a temple that’s worth a visit, around $2 to see both. Definitely worth doing if you get there an hour or two before the bats are due to appear but you don’t need to do that to see the bats. Hope this helps.

I think we paid about 12 US. But we had the driver for the whole afternoon. He took us to the big Colonial Building and then the “Ancient House” both of which we walked through. He stopped at a small roadside stand and bought himself a roasted rat. (Yes, rat) He brought us to the mountain and waited while climbed up and saw the view and killing caves area and then back down for the bat spectacle.
